Happy to be ringing in the new year living at Montaje. We’re still very content with the apartment & location. However, after touring some nearby buildings, the rent (for what’s included) seems very high.

I have been living at Montaje for 2 years now. I have taken advantage of the amenities and made several maintenance calls and only had pleasant experiences. This year, however, they changed the door locks to automatically lock behind you when you leave the apartment, and they change $100 for a lock out fee. Feels very unfair to me.

Management and overall building cleanliness is nice. My only issue with my apartment is the individual unit itself. It's located on a lower floor right above a retail store. The music and sounds from that store leak heavily into my unit so that part is annoying. Otherwise these issues wouldn't exist in a differently located unit within the building.

It started out lovely but then the amenities and grounds got worse and worse. I’ve been living here for 3 years and the tvs in the gym have been broken the entire time. Every time I step out of the door, no matter where I am in the building, I step in dog feces. It’s not what it used to be.

I’m terribly disappointed that the billiards room has been taken away for people who “ want more work space”. I expect people to work in their apartments (as I do) , and the already EXPANSIVE areas to work in. People on computers in the art room get huffy sometimes when I come in to make art!! In the art room which is supposed to be “stocked with supplies”. I purchased my own costly supplies for the pool table and this was a big attraction for me and hosting my friends here. I know a lot of people are upset about it.

Going downhill. Took our our really nice big washer/dryers and replaced them with ones that are so small can’t even fit a queen size comforter in them and take forever to spin/dry, removed our pool table, fire pit doesn’t work, they lock the rooftop during certain months, pool closed earlier this year. Never cleaned my outdoor windows after saying the annual window cleaning was happening months ago. Paying more and more for way less amenities and services overtime. You’re literally only paying for the location and nothing else that you can’t get for cheaper elsewhere.

While the apartment itself has some positive aspects, one major issue is the noise. Every day starting around 5 AM, large trucks create significant noise right outside, and this continues until about 7 AM. The early morning disturbance makes it very difficult to rest properly and greatly affects the overall living experience.

We have lived here for 1 year and 3 months & it's been great! I love the location and how many shops/restaurants there are. It's still super fast & easy to get into the city. I wish they kept the pool open past Labor Day because there's been many hot days.

They recently got some new gym benches however I can tell that they are already getting worn down. It's clear these were "cheaper" benches than the previous ones so I wish they had gotten more premium ones. Additionally, the maintenance crew has been very helpful with requests however some of them don't speak English very well, so it's difficult to fully communicate with them. I also always ask for them to call me first to make an appointment but they don't. They just show up and knock.

My partner and I just moved in two weeks ago. It was easy to move in and the leasing manager was very communicative and helpful. The amenities are great but I'm disappointed they removed the pool table. Other than that, the neighbors and staff are friendly and respectful. It doesn't get too loud from our room but we do hear footsteps from our upstairs neighbors. Overall, I'm enjoying our transition to Montaje and look forward for the rest of our stay here.

The building is very conveniently located - a prime spot for anyone wanting to take advantage of everything Assembly Row and downtown Boston have to offer. Great views, friendly staff, walking distance to the T, grocery stores, shops, and restaurants make it attractive. That said, while the space is comfortable, several aspects make it far from the “luxury” label it’s marketed under: 1. Outdated indoor & outdoor appliances 2. Worn doors and windows 3. Basic gym equipment and common spaces 4. Spotty Wi-Fi 5. Bathrooms without vents 6. Cars moving in the garage cause apartments to shake 7. Residential garage entrances shared with the public, making access difficult during business hours 8. Occasional mouse sightings in apartments 9. Trash areas that frequently smell 10. Dusty hallways Overall, Montaje delivers on location, but the building’s condition and amenities fall short of expectations for a high-end property - especially given the competition in Boston’s rental market.

My partner and I have been living here for less than a week, but we’re absolutely loving it so far! We’re hoping the billiards table comes back soon, though, because that was a key selling point for us and they recently removed it for construction purposes of the recreation room. However, the free yoga classes every Thursdays in the exercise room downstairs does sweeten the deal. So far, our neighbors have been friendly, amenities have been terrific and the overall process has been undeniably smooth! We can’t believe we found somewhere so elegant, just a close travel to the city with the Orange Line Assembly T stop being right across the street, given our respective budget range. Thank you Montaje team! We look forward to staying here for a while.

It’s always something to do even if it’s only walking around, window shopping , experimenting the different foods or sitting areas with your dog, friends or love ones. I’ve really enjoyed living at Assembly Row—it’s such a unique and convenient place to call home. The location is one of the biggest perks: having shops, restaurants, coffee spots, and entertainment all within walking distance makes day-to-day life so easy and fun. It feels like a little city within the city, and I love being able to just step outside for groceries, dinner, or a walk by the river.

Montaje Apartments offer a beautiful environment, great amenities, and a convenient location with easy access to transportation. Facilities like the gym, communal lounge, and rooftop garden make living here very comfortable. Staff are friendly and the community feels safe and welcoming. The only minor downside is the lack of front desk service on weekends and after midnight, which can be a bit inconvenient, but overall it’s highly recommended.

Staff and people are very nice, the common area of maintenance is very poor, you’re missing basic simple things like chairs. The new carpeting you put in the hallways, is extremely ugly, and not in keeping with the rest of the building. The pool temperature is way too cold for me to enjoy using it My apartment itself is very nice, and your maintenance department is first rate.

I recently toured Montaje and was thoroughly impressed by what I saw. The property offers a beautiful living environment with stunning views that create a calm and inviting atmosphere. During my visit, I noticed how well-maintained the entire complex was, which speaks to a high standard of care and management. What stood out even more were the surrounding amenities—everything from shops and cafes to public transportation is conveniently located nearby. It’s clear that Montaje is situated in a vibrant and accessible neighborhood, which adds a lot of value for potential residents. The staff were also incredibly welcoming and professional. They greeted us warmly and provided detailed, courteous answers to all our questions. Based on the tour, Montaje seems like an excellent place to call home.

The staff are great, especially Cameron who helped me extensively with my recent move process. Two reasons for my less than 5 star review. Recently moved from one unit to another and this new unit was much less “ready” for move in compared to my previous unit. There was a long list of things I needed to submit to maintenance including missing labels on my oven range and a loose cabinet that didn’t close. I would’ve expected all of these very apparent issues to have been addressed prior to a new tenant moving in. Secondly, there have beeb multiple times some young individuals have broken into the courtyard/pool area (hopped the fence) in the middle of the night (12am-3am) to smoke, play loud music, jump in the pool, talk loudly, etc. which is a huge disturbance to anybody living in a courtyard-facing unit. Management is aware of this so I hope more preventative measures will be taken to stop this from happening.

Gym tvs don’t work and there is dog poop/pee outside every door. Keys also rarely work. My lock has lost battery and I have been locked out of my apartment on 5 different occasions. Other than that, not bad.

Honestly was good til recently. I keep a spare key for my pet sitter/cleaning lady with the concierge and multiple times they've lost the key.i was promised this would never happen again and this happened yet again when I was out of town when I was trying to relax and celebrate my birthday, I almost had to drive several hours home in the middle of the night after I had alcohol so my cats would to starve until my pet sitters husband was able to come feed them and maintenance has to let them in. I've always been a good sport and never asked for compensation for previous incidents (happened atleast 5 times now) I think I should have some form of compensation this time especially since I have to compensate my pet sitter extra for the extra visit even though it was through no fault of my own.

Overall great except few things. Stair noise comes to unit and sharing parking with the retail stores is so anoying. They keep blocking the parking lot loading things from/to their cars, and sometimes just stop the car in the middle of parking lot and just go away. Management people are really friendly though.

The new fob also does not work well on elevators and outside doors (doesn't work at all on doors coming in from resident garage). Other than that, no real complaints... excited for the pool to open.

The apartment is great, with wonderful natural light and a very quiet atmosphere. We needed some assistance with a leaking food disposer when we moved in, but the maintenance team was fast and helpful. The building has good amenities, and the location is perfect. I only wish the windows had better insulation—they let cold wind in even when fully closed, and you can hear a lot of street noise.

Very loud neighbors even at late hours of the night and would be nice to be able to use the amenities at least until quiet hours but otherwise nice location. Would be nice if the outdoor roof deck was open more as well as it was 60° and sunny recently but it was still closed for the “winter”.

Building is usually not very clean and after 2 years living here I have had multiple issues with common areas being dirty and lost of packages due to lack of concierge presence.

The location is great. The maintenance staff is very quick and responsive. However, the gym needs updating. The dumbbells and yoga mats are literally shredding and falling apart. None of the treadmill TVs work. The spin bikes are broken.

It's one of the more spacious apartments in assembly sq, but it's a bit of a let down the pool and deck is only open for like 4 months. The roofdeck also closes very early so it does not feel like the amenities are worth it sometimes.

The building and location is nice, nice amenities, common spaces are sparse and generally unavailable. If you want to reserve the top floor space, they ask you to pay $1,000 which seems crazy to me and wasn't said at the time we toured the building

I've had a generally positive experience in this apartment building. Its location is convenient, close to shops, eateries, and public transit. The staff member who worked near the loading dock showed us where to find the dolly cart which made things so much easier! The person at the front desk promptly opened the garage door to let the Uhaul in. Thank you all!

Montaje continues to be a great place to live. Any problems are seriously considered and quickly resolved by an excellent management team and by a dedicated maintenance staff. The concierge staff are also very helpful. It's sometimes difficult to live in a diverse environment, with many people, but the Montaje management and staff make the experience vibrant and comfortable.

I recently moved here but I can tell Montaje is a nice place to live. Close to everything yet , quiet even being close to main roads. The apartments are well kept, appliances are in great shape, and gym area is taken very well care of. Neighbors are all nice and the entire complex gives a very safe and secure vibe.

Good location but overpriced for the quality of the apartment. They also close the rooftop in the winter, fire pits can’t be turned on on our own, and close the pool when its still in the 80s out even though we pay a lot for these amenities.

A lot of problems with my unit after move in. Toilet constantly clogging, dryer caught fire, paint splatter on all of the floor surfaces. Problems with the refrigerator. The closet organizer allows my cloths to hit the floor because spaced poorly. Lots of noise in the hallway. The list goes on. Can’t beat the view and the area, the only things keeping here at this point.

Please add heavy weights in the gym. There are only small dumbbells (for me). Otherwise, everything is great. Appreciate 24/7 access to the rooftop. I find it very frustrating and disappointing that it's closed at nights. For example, I planned to see fireworks over the city on New Year, but the rooftop was closed, so I met the New Year in elevator...

I've always had a great experience here. Even now, with more people smoking in the building, which is highly annoying and against the leasing rules of this non-smoking building, action is repeatedly taken by the staff to stop it. However, the leasing folks cannot police every hallway and unit. Otherwise, great maintenance crew as always. I always appreciate their timeliness and courtesy. A shout-out this time to Kevin, the concierge, for somehow dealing with personalities and requests large and small. And finally, congratulations to Liz and her family.

This building is ok, I wish they would keep the amenities update to date, such as fixing the TV’s on the second floor , on the root top. The grills are missing knobs. The gym equipments needs also attention and also the TVs are not working. The pool temperature for the last 2 summers is cold and they don’t fix it. Other than that the building is nice.

I am very disappointed at how one of my neighbors in Monyaje was treated by the administration. I hope I never need to ask the administration for help. In the other hand, the personnel at the front desk (concierge) have always been nice, polite, responsive and supportive. I really appreciate their service.

My resident experience after 4 years continues to be excellent. As busy as Danielle, the General Manager, is, she always has the time to address my needs. The relatively new maintenance team has also addressed issues in the unit in a timely manner. The concierge, Kevin, goes out of his way to help me find packages that Amazon often leaves without imputing a code so that they are often hard to find without his help! I appreciate the help I receive here because it makes my living experience much better.

I’ve been at Montaje for over a year now and my experience has been great. The best part about living at Montaje is definitely the location, everything you need is within walking distance and Boston is a short drive away. The staff is also very friendly: Kevin and Marie at the front desk are the greatest. The maintenance and cleaning teams are also very friendly, reliable and quick to respond to any maintenance requests or cleaning needs for the general areas. I also love the random surprises and events that they have for residents. Overall a great place to live and I can’t see myself moving anytime soon.

Montaje went downhill just after Miscellan opened. With the exception of Kevin and the maintenance crew, the staff is appalling. I’ve emailed, messaged, and went down to the office and still no response. We want to end our lease as soon as possible. None of the ammentities work, the place is constantly dirty and disgusting, and the same tenants are allowed to take over every room and destroy the place. Why should we pay for ammenities we were promised but can’t use?

The community events were fun, I even won on trivia and received a gift card. The food events are always different and delicious. The staff make a sincere effort to address all problems and questions and the maintenance crew respond quickly to any problems in the unit. Too much noise from multiple resources: trains, trash parachute, and refrigerator. I was told it’s a concrete building, there is no trash parachute noise complain in the past for the unit next to the trash parachute. But the reality is trash drop off sound is very loud that can hear clearly in my unit. Windows don’t have any sound proof and weather proof.

Hallway carpet is really old and dirty. Needs to be replaced. Walls also need fresh coat of paint. Lighting is dark. Pet owners need to clean up after their pets. Apart unit itself is fine. New appliances. Good water pressure. Convenient location to live.

My experience staying at Montaje for the last 2 years has been quite comforting specially during troubled pandemic times. The proximity to all essential requirements of life (station, hospital, dental, groceries, pharmacy, shopping) made it most convenient for a no-car person like me. Everything was available in the Assembly township. The building itself is beautiful and the apartments are very well designed. My stay was marked with few indecent incidents by fellow neighbors, but overall the experience of living at Montaje has been good.

We have toured numerous similar communities and there is truly nothing that compares to Assembly Row and we have loved living in Montaje! Everything from the maintenance staff to the location has been a dream. To add to the experience, the leasing office has been so supportive not only while signing but also during the duration of our time here. We worked with both Liz and Danielle and they have gone above and beyond our expectations for not only signing our first lease but also while assisting in resigning our second lease.
